Makeup is like magic. Once applied properly, you can transform instantly into looking younger, well groomed, elegant and polished. All you will need to learn is to know where to draw the lines and where to apply the eye shadow colors at the appropriate area of your eye.

Below are some points for your to remember when applying your makeup;

Highlight color are normally light colors and they draw attention

To make things look smaller use dark colors
To minimize use soft and muted colors
To emphasize use bright and clear colors

Eyes come in small eye lids, large eye lids, almond shape eye, deep set eyes or close set eyes. Very similar to the various face shape, you can use makeup to camouflage and balance the shape of your eye.

For a long, narrow face with a square chin, you will need to give the illusion of widening and shortening the face, while softening the jawline. Horizontal lines make the face look wider, so emphasize your eyebrows, cheekbones and lips.

Use a brow pencil to slightly extend the outer tails of your eyebrows, adding width. Layer toning colors horizontally, working from the centre of the eye outwards. Follow the lines of your cheekbones, adding more definition near the hairline. Make your mouth look slightly wider when you line your lips, but keeps it looking natural. Apply a sweep of blusher along the hairline at cheekbone level to draw the eye outwards.

A layered style will help give the impression that your face is rounder and fuller. A softly layered crown is good, as is some fullness around the ear area. A fringe will also make your face appear shorter. Avoid long, straight styles with a centre parting, as these will make you face look longer.

As for your spectacles lightweight, wider frames will counteract a narrow face and close set eyes; avoid round shape frames. Choose angular shape earrings that add volume to your earlobes.
